Author: Susan   Fuller

"A very short story about the abundant blessings of God's love."

Once upon a time there was a widow would just wanted to just pull the covers over her head and let the world go by. But the Lord would gently say:

I will never leave you nor forsake you.  I have loved you with an everlasting love.  My presence will go with you.  My strength is made perfect in weakness.   I have given you a bouquet of blessings.  And now, my child,

GET OUT OF THAT BED AND GET TO WORK.

The voice of God sounds so much like the voice of a mother.

As she drove to work each day, her cell phone would ring with the voice of her FAVORITE son saying, “Hi, Mom, are you on your way to work?”

Yes, there was still a man in this widow’s life. A man was still checking up on her and making sure she was on time and on budget!

She was able to continue her work – a blessing of God’s abundant love that added a lot of green to her bouquet of blessings.

Her FAVORITE daughter would call each day about 8:30 AM to let her know that she just taken two of her FAVORITE grandchildren to school and everyone was well.

She would receive an email from her FAVORITE son-in-law, with a message that he would come by her house and check on her computer problems, and the leaks, and the squeaks.

She would also receive an email or phone call from her FAVORITE daughter-in-law and mother to six of her FAVORITE grandchildren.

Oh, how beautiful was her bouquet of blessings.

She went to a wonderful church where she was always greeted by the friendly ushering staff. She loved to see the smiling faces and get hugs from her precious friends.

She had a Godly pastor who preached the truth and a pastor’s wife and family who encouraged and helped her.

Yes, blessings surrounded her every day as she experienced the love of family and friends.

Her bouquet of blessings was evidence of God’s abundant love.

But most important,

She had the HOPE of LIFE ETERNAL where she would be joined with her precious husband to worship at the feet of Jesus

Because only in Heaven could she LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

Sister Fuller presented this on Mother's Day at her home church, New Life Pentecostal Church in Bridgeton, Missouri.   As she presented her story, she began arranging flowers and greenery in a beautiful vase, demonstrating her "Widow's Bouquet of Blessings".

Sister Fuller is shown here with some of her granddaughters, her daughter-in-law, and her youngest grandson, Robert Isaac Fuller, who was named after her beloved husband, Robert H. Fuller.
